REMOTE DESKTOP will not save credentials on domain

I tried all GP stuff which is the most common answer to this issue, but this actually worked.

Instead, in win 7, go to Control Panel -> Credential Manager, you will see three sections:- (i) Windows Credentials; (ii) Certificate-Based Credentials and (iii) Generic Credentials.

Where is your credential for RDP is listed?

If it is listed under Windows Credentials:

Click Edit under the Windows Creditials

Either write down or take a screen shot of the creditials

delete the Windows Creditials

Manually create a new credential under Generic Credentials using the information from the Windows Creditial
